Depth of Anesthesia Monitoring System

CAI is a brain monitoring system that links patient-specific EEG information to an individual’s level of consciousness collecting the raw EEG data that indicates the patient's response to anesthetic agents in real time and displaying it as the CAI index value (a number between 0 and 100) . This information helps clinicians optimize drug administration for each individual patient, leading to increased patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction during surgery and preventing potential medical accidents such as intraoperative awareness.

Anesthesia awareness (waking up) during surgery, means the patient can recall their surroundings, or an event related to the surgery, hear noises or even feel the pain whilst undergoing surgery. Long-term effects include anxiety, sleep disturbances, flashbacks, nightmares, PTSD. Some cases of awareness might occur as a result of inadequate anesthetic dosing and therefore constitute potentially preventable medical errors.


CAI is a device helps address each patient's unique anesthetic requirements preventing the risk of awakening during anesthesia and helping to ensure a safe surgical experience.
